Welcome
My name is Symon
I’m the founder of Contigo Child and Family. Contigo is a Spanish word that means “with you”—a reflection of my commitment to walk alongside you on your journey in therapy. My approach is grounded in presence, compassion, and connection.
I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with almost 20 years of experience working alongside families. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, and I've completed extensive training in trauma, attachment, and perinatal and infant mental health.
I’ve had the privilege of working in a range of settings and communities across Africa, Europe, Central, and South America. These experiences have shaped a deep respect for diverse ways of parenting, healing, and connection.
As a mother of five—three daughters and two stepsons—I know firsthand the roller-coaster of parenthood. Originally from Sydney, I now call the beautiful Adelaide Hills home.
I’m deeply passionate about supporting parents through the transformative journey of pregnancy, birth and parenting. I recognise both the beauty and the challenges of this time, and I believe it offers a powerful opportunity for healing and growth.
I provide support across the perinatal period, including antenatal and postnatal mental health and wellbeing, birth preparation, and recovery from birth trauma.
I have a special interest in neurodivergence, attachment and trauma, and perinatal and infant mental health. My therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing on mind-body techniques and tailored to suit the unique needs of each client.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. I value strong therapeutic relationships and work flexibly to meet families where they are on their path to wellbeing.
